Embedded Javascript applet for record set viewing - possible?
Posted: 18 Feb 2006 09:08 AM
Hi all,

I am a Javascript newbie. The only thing I know how to do with Javascript, are the basics like form validation and various small applets.

Recently, I have come across a situation in development where it would be really handy if I could develop a javascript applet that I could embed into a coldfusion web page and display record set information.

The problem is, I have no clue how to get this to happen. I can't seem to find any information in regards to embedding a document into a page (with precise dimensions).

Is there anyone out there that could point the way for me? Looking for code snippets that do what I describe, above.

Is it even possible to : design a pure javascript applet that will conform to precise dimensions, to include a few small images in it and have it URL link to a additional record viewer.

Seems to it is possible, but can't find any initial information that will get me started...

Thanks in advance!
