Making a text box look like regular text?
Posted: 13 Mar 2002 09:47 PM
I remember seeing some code that would remove the box around a text item and make the text look just like regular static text instead of a text item. Anyone know how to do this? I have some text fields that I want to display but I don't want the user to even think that they are editable.

Try this :-)

<input type="text" name="email" style="border: solid 1px; border-color: white;">

However this code will not work in Netscape. Not all CSS atributes are compatible with Netscape.

Perfect. That's exactly what I was looking for, thanks. :)

Our company doesn't use Netscrape anyway. :)
