Hey.
Refreshing the page is easy:
<meta http-equiv="REFRESH" content="21">

The word detections a bit more tricky. the best i can suggest is this:
create a text box (i'll use your example) called "mail_chk":
<input type="text" name="mail_chk" value="(here you insert the source of the data you get)">

Java should look something like this (MUST be ...

Here is the code.
just put this at the bottom of the page & change the alert to write to the page.

<script language="JavaScript">
var curr_date = new Date()
var curr_year = curr_date.getYear()
var strt_year = "1996"

exist_years = curr_year - strt_year

alert(exist_years)
</script>

Hey.

This should solve your problem:

<script language="Javascript">
function goToURL(form) {
var sel_box_name = window.event.srcElement.name
var selectedItem = form[sel_box_name].selectedIndex
if (!selectedItem == "")
{
window.parent.bottom.location = form[sel_box_name].options[selectedItem].value
}
}
</script>

Hi.

If you are doing the Variable in ASP then you can just do this:

Date_Var = "13/06/2002"

<input type="text" name="Day" value="<%= day(cdate(Date_Var)) %>">
<input type="text" name="Month" value="<%= month(cdate(Date_Var)) %>">
<input type="text" name="Year" ...

Hey.

I have not used layers all that much. However style sheets can be a b*tch in JavaScript sometimes. Try this function & see if it works, it just handles the visibility differently.

function showLayer(lyr)
{
if(document.layers[lyr].style.display == "") //Visible
document.layers[lyr].style.display = "none"; //Invisible
else
document.layers[lyr].style.display = ""; //Visible

Hey.

They are prolly systems developers with big ego's. Anyways, I can prolly do that script in Javascript, but it is gonna take some time to do, so if you want it let me know & I will see about setting things up.

I donno CGI so don't ask about that, I be a JavaScript Junkie. :)

Hey.
I do not have the files to play with, but maybe this could work.

Take the code in the 2 js files & put it all in one js file.that way you will only have to call one js file.

Hey the part about the delay could be done like this:

(put this at the bottom of the page)
<script language="JavaScript">
function go_back() {
window.navigate("previous_page.asp")
}
setTimeout('go_back()', 2000);
</script>

if you are using ASP you can do this:

In the function navigate to the page but add "...age.asp?q=100"

Hey.

You ALMOST have it all you need to do is add the frame name.

{window.framename.location = "http://www.tonawandaffl.com/jperry.html";}

Hey.

In navbar.js look for the following line:
"navBarMenus[navBarMenus.length] = new Array("я", "");"

It's around line number 236. Remove the 'nbsp' from the "".
It will take away that empty box.

OR

Just comment the whole line out & it will stretch the menu to the edge of the screen.

This is the only way I could think of that should work.

<html>
<head>
<title>Untitled</title>
</head>

<body id="win_body" style="cursor: wait;">

<!-- ASP CODE HERE -->

<script language="JavaScript">
win_body.style.cursor = "default"

Hey. It's quite simple.

in the function setHandlers() just remove the last entry that reads "moveall();" and if you want you can remove the moveall() function.

if you want to control where they are on the page modify the placeeyes(x, y) function.

Ok this is the only way I could get it to work:

<script language="JavaScript">
function get_value1() {
window.open("formpop.asp", "window1","width=250,height=250,status=no,resizable=no,top=200,left=200");
}
function get_value2() {
window.open("formpop2.asp", ...

I don't know exaztly know how your page loox but I have 2 suggestions.

1: Make a popup window with the pic & then print it.

2: (this is what I would do)

<script language="JavaScript">
function print_pic() {
div1.style.display = "none"
div2.style.display = "none"
window.print()
div1.style.display = ""
div2.style.display = ""

Hey.

I am not exactly sure what it is you are asking. Though i have this little piece of code that might be what you are looking for:

<script language="JavaScript">
function write_table() {
var tempy1 = "Test 1"
var tempy2 = "Test 2"
// use single quotes or no quotes for the tag attributes
document.write("<table ...

I don't know how long this Forum has been going, but it should pick up about a year after it starts. I will come here as often as I can to see if i can help anyone. Although All the users should do it. Afterall 2 heads are better than one. :)

Something that might help is if the forum sends a user an e-mail telling him or her that their posting has been answered.

function page_reload() {
window.parent.framename.history.go(0)
}

Just change "framename" to the name of the frame.
